J.C. Cooper Campground is closed effective August 1, 2026 for campground and restroom facility improvements. No estimated reopening date has been announced.
Hibernia Recreation Area Closed
Affected Area: Hibernia
Hibernia Recreation Area is closed effective August 1, 2026 for facility improvements. The marina and campgrounds are not accessible during construction.
Nutbush Bridge Partially Closed
Affected Area: Nutbush Bridge
Nutbush Bridge Areas 1 (North), 3, and 4 (South) are closed August 1, 2026 for construction. Area 4 with 12 non-electric sites remains open. Contact the park office at (252) 438-7791 for current conditions.
